Artistic Director
Over the last fifteen years, Andrew Cory has worked professionally in Australia, Asia and in Europe as an actor, a movement director and a clown. He has worked with a number of independent and professional companies in Australia including The Queensland Ballet, Queensland Theatre Company, The Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Opera Queensland and The South Australia State Theatre Company.
Creative Producer
Rebecca Smith has been appointed Creative Producer at Backbone Youth Arts. She has worked in the arts sector for more than five years in various roles at Queensland Theatre Company. Rebecca was appointed to the role of Youth & Education trainee in 2007, before taking the role of Youth Projects Coordinator in 2009 and initiating and programming projects and partnerships focusing on the growth of young artists as performers, performance makers and producers.
Administrator
Lakia Pattinson has been working in the performing arts industry since she discovered her love of the arts in secondary school. After competing in numerous competitions as a performer, Lakia went onto university to study the double degree Bachelor Creative Industries (Drama) and Bachelor Secondary Education in order to pass on her passion for the arts to other young people as a Director and teacher.
