Alexandra Winters

Alexandra Winters is a visual artist and emerging curator. Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Art, majoring in Interdisciplinary Sculpture from Queensland College of Art in 2009, Alexandra was awarded the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence, Australian Decorative and Fine Arts Societies Award for Sculpture and Intermedia and Artworkers Award for Graduate Sculpture. Her artistic practice are primarily interactive sculptures and installations that explore the controlling capabilities of light.  Alexandra has been heavily involved in the visual arts community as a workshop facilitator for RAW Art, Public Programs Intern for Ipswich Art Gallery, Volunteer for Artworkers Alliance, Front of House Casual for Brisbane Powerhosue, and Volunteer Tour Guide for Queensland Art Galley. She has been an advocate for the visual arts as a guest speaker at Pecha Kucha Night, featuring in numerous exhibtiions and publications as well as being mentored by prominent light artist David Forbes.

Hilary Perrett

Hilary Perrett is a Brisbane based young and emerging curator of visual arts. She has been Program Coordinator and Logistics Coordinator with Queensland Music Festival, Curator in Residence for Level: Artist Run Initiative, Project Coordinator for Flying Arts and Exhibition Attendant at QUT Cultural Precincts. Hilary’s focus has been on the visual arts’ ability to reflect upon and negotiate the complexities of contemporary life. Hilary has successfully completed a Bachelor of Creative Industries Interdisciplinary (Visual Arts Culture/ Art History/ Architecture and Design) and Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance).
